If I was Pope... I wouldn't insult gay people who want get married and raise a family. They aren't a threat to humanity or human dignity. They aren't a threat to themselves or their child anymore than a priest is to their child (well, probably less than that).

Clerical Sex Abuse Cases

If I was Pope... I would have given Cardinal Christoph Schoenborn a promotion.

Newspapers and Feet

If I was Pope... I wouldn't attack the New York Times for doing their job.  A Newspaper is supposed to dig deep for details and be critical of everything.  It's called investigating.  Also I would wash more than just 12 priest's feet.  I'd get out there in the street and get some real feet washing done.  The way I read the Bible it was all about "a servant is not greater than his master", not a master is not greater than his super-master.  A real Pope washes real people's feet.

Defrocking Child Molesters

If I was Pope... I'd defrock the hell out of any Priest I had proof had molested or abused children in any way.  I don't care if that Priest was young, old, dead, alive, ill, illn' or even had a sweet beard... DEFROCKED!
